Andover House Washing
What we clean
We use the right method for the surface — the goal is a clean house, not a pressure-washed one:
Soft wash house washing: low pressure plus a cleaning solution that kills mold and mildew instead of blasting it off. This is what belongs on siding, trim and shingles — high pressure can force water behind siding and into your walls.
Pressure washing: saved for hard surfaces that can take it — walkways, patios, driveways, decks and fences.
Roof cleaning: algae, moss and lichen hold moisture against shingles. We treat them at low pressure — never with a pressure washer, which strips the granules off a roof.
Gutter cleaning: clogged gutters push water down the wall and into the trim, which is where rot and peeling paint start.
Window washing: inside and out, screens included, no streaks on the glass and no mess on the sills.
What to expect
Timing: most houses take half a day. We work from the ground, so there is no scaffolding and nothing for you to move.
Your plants: beds get wet down before we start and rinsed again when we finish, and anything delicate gets covered.
Before painting: a wash is already part of every exterior painting job we do, so you never pay for it twice.
How often: every two to three years for most homes around here — sooner for north-facing walls and anything sitting under trees.
